We decided to take a route along the coast to get from Enniskillen to Sligo. The beauty of going by car and minimal itinerary for the day is the ability to venture off the main roads whenever we felt like it.
We found our way westward to the ocean, along a narrow lane way. The view was spectacular. We came upon a woman who lived nearby. After a good chat we parted ways with her recommendation to visit the Glencar waterfall.
Still ready for adventure, we decided to check out this suggested landmark. The road to get to the falls was wide enough for one car, so for the first time I had to back up to let a tour bus by. The falls were located in a valley between two mountains. The landscape here was a change from the sprawling walled fields further south.
We had lunch in Sligo, and made it to Limerick in time for dinner. The fresh seafood here is amazing…I’ve been taking full advantage.
Hi Heather and Greg. I love following you along on your journey. I feel like I am really there. (Loved the picture of the cow!) Can’t wait to see you when you get back! Much love and hugs.
